The Greater Evansville Runners/Walkers Club will host a New Year’s Eve Triple Event on Dec. 31. There will be a 4K Relay Run (two-person teams, men’s and co-ed divisions), a 4K Open Run and the seventh annual Y(not) 2k Fun Run/Walk. SNOWFLAKE DERBY

The Snowflake Derby will be held on Saturday, Dec. 10, at 10 a.m. on the University of Southern Indiana campus. Entry fees for pre-registered runners are $15; race-day registration is $20. Race-day registration is from 8:30 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. in the Physical Activities Center. Pre-registration runs through Dec. 4; pre-registered runners receive a Snowflake Derby knit cap. Knit caps will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis. If supplies run out, the caps will be mailed to all participants as soon as possible. This year’s event is entirely on grass and dirt trails. The terrain varies from flat, to rolling hills, to short, steep inclines and declines. All proceeds benefit the USI running programs. Extra Innings will hold a holiday fast-pitch softball skills camp on Dec. 30-31.
